Postecoglou targeted for quick return to management
Former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has been lined up with a quick-fire return to management.
The Daily Telegraph report that the Australian, who was sacked by Spurs after their 17th-placed Premier League finish, could be on the move to the Saudi Pro League.
Postecoglou, who led Spurs to their first European trophy in 41 years as they won the Europa League, has been linked with the Al-Ahli job should German manager Matthias Jaissle quit his post.
Al-Ahli boast some former Premier League stars within their ranks, including Riyad Mahrez, Edouard Mendy, Roberto Firmino, and Ivan Toney.

Mbeumo still prefers Man Utd over Spurs
Bryan Mbeumo still favours a move to Manchester United over Tottenham.
The Cameroonian was previously reported to have been intrigued by a transfer to north London, that would see him reunited with his former Brentford boss Thomas Frank.
However, the latest update from Sky Sports claims that the winger, who Brentford value at £60million, prefers a move to Old Trafford.

Wolves hold Lopez interest
Wolves are exploring the possibility of signing Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo.
Sky Sports reports that the 21-year-old, who made 17 La Liga appearances last season, scoring two goals, is on Vitor Pereira’s shortlist as the Portuguese looks to strengthen his engine room.
Should Lopez sign for the Black Country club, he would be competing with Andre, Joao Gomes, Marshall Munetsi, Tommy Doyle, and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde for a start.

Former Man Utd midfielder to take over League One side
Tom Cleverley is set to become the manager of Plymouth Argyle.
Cleverley, who most recently managed Watford, has agreed a three-year deal at Home Park, according to Sky Sports.
The former Manchester United midfielder was sacked from his post at Vicarage Road last month, having guided Watford to 14th in the Championship.
He will replace Miron Muslic in Devon, after the Bosnian left for Schalke.

Bayern open to double sale
Bayern Munich are open to selling two of their first-team squad this summer.
Following the pending departure of Leroy Sane and the confirmed exit of club legend Thomas Muller, two more names could leave the Allianz Arena this window with Vincent Kompany looking to bolster his squad ahead of a Champions League assault next year.
Sacha Boey, the right-back, and Bryan Zaragoza, the winger, are two players that could leave Bavaria, according to Sky Germany.
Boey, the former Galatasaray defender, has been linked with a return to the Turkish club, where he could join Sane, and it is believed that Bayern are open to selling or loaning the Frenchman.
Zaragoza, meanwhile, has hardly featured for the Bundesliga champions for €15m in December 2023, but after a loan spell as Osasuna, it appears that he is surplus to requirements.

Barcelona beat Arsenal to key target
It seems as though Barcelona have trumped Arsenal to one of their long-term transfer targets.
Joan Garcia, the Espanyol goalkeeper, is on his way to the Nou Camp despite Mikel Arteta holding an interest for two years in the Spaniard.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Barca have triggered the €25million release clause in his existing Espanyol contract.

Real Madrid announce Franco Mastantuono deal
Real Madrid have completed the signing of Franco Mastantuono.
Argentina’s teenage sensation has signed a six-year contract at the Bernabeu after his £38.5m release clause at River Plate was triggered.
Mastantuono is only 17 and has smashed records for both club and country, earlier this month becoming the youngest player in Argentina history when he made his senior debut off the bench against Chile in World Cup qualifying.
He joins the likes of Brazilian Endrick in Madrid as Real continue to snap up the best young talent from South America.
Bayer Leverkusen want Kluivert as Wirtz replacement
Bayer Leverkusen look set to move for Justin Kluivert as the replacement for Florian Wirtz.
Today the former Bundesliga champions clinched a deal with Liverpool for Wirtz that could net them up to £116m including add-ons.
Now Leverkusen have set about finding their ideal successor to the German international, with talkSPORT among the outlets claiming that they have made contact with Bournemouth over a potential swoop for Kluivert.
New manager Erik ten Hag is said to view his fellow Dutchman as perfect fit at BayArena, having already returned to the Premier League to sign compatriot Mark Flekken from Brentford.
However, it will be tough to convince Bournemouth to part with a player who scored 13 goals this season and is under contract until 2028, particularly with Milos Kerkez likely to join Wirtz at Liverpool to follow new Real Madrid signing Dean Huijsen out of the Vitality Stadium exit door.
The Cherries are also dealing with plenty of transfer interest at present in the likes of Antoine Semenyo and Ilya Zabarnyi.

Tottenham could gazump Man Utd for Mbeumo
More details are emerging on Tottenham’s pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo.
Sky Sports reported earlier on that Spurs were now looking to beat Manchester United to a deal for the Cameroon forward, having made contact with Brentford after the appointment of Thomas Frank as Ange Postecoglou’s successor in the dugout.
Journalist Ben Jacobs now says that Tottenham are willing to improve on United’s initial rejected offer worth an initial £45m plus £10m in add-ons “if given encouragement”.
However, he says discussions are not advanced and that Spurs were made aware of Mbeumo’s desire to join Manchester United. Has Frank’s move altered that stance at all?
Jacobs says Spurs remain interested in Southampton’s Tyler Dibling as well as Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo at Bournemouth.

Florian Wirtz to undergo Liverpool medical next week
Florian Wirtz will undergo his medical at Liverpool next week, reports claim.
Earlier today came the headline news that Liverpool had finally struck a mammoth deal with Bayer Leverkusen over the German forward worth £100m up front and another potential £16m in guarantees that would make it the most expensive British transfer of all time.
Sky Germany report that included among those bonuses is if Liverpool win the Champions League.
They add that Wirtz, who is expected to sign a five-year contract at Anfield, is currently away on holiday after the conclusion of Germany’s Nations League campaign and will undergo a medical next week.
